The league shows a slight change from last season with one new club and two clubs gone. The new entry into the Youth Alliance this season are Football League newcomers Fleetwood Town but gone are both Wigan Athletic and Stockport County.

In Wigan's case, their departure looks to be due to them having applied for EPPP Category 2 which will take them above our level, and for Stockport it seems they now only have a first team playing any competitive football.

Preston just pipped us to the title last year and with their derby against Blackpool kicking off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, half an hour before the other games, they will starting the new season.

There are six other fixtures with just Oldham Athletic and Tranmere Rovers still to get their seasons underway.

One of those other fixtures sees Burnley host Bury at Gawthorpe with the traditional 11:00 a.m. kick off.
