Win and a draw take young Clarets to sixth

We came from behind in both games, beating Rochdale a week last Saturday before coming from two behind to draw 2-2 at Wigan two days ago. It's left us above Walsall on goal difference but we meet them on Thursday afternoon.

Bury are now six points clear of Wigan at the top, although the Latics do have a game in hand. The Shakers are looking to step up their academy following the acquisition of the old Man City training ground at Carrington and are certainly having their best season I can recall them having at this level.

Rochdale are one point further behind but they have a second game in hand. If both were won it would take them within a point of the leaders.

At the other end of the table, Morecambe's climb from bottom place lasted all of one week. They'd been bottom all season before a second win saw them move above Accrington two weeks ago, but Stanley's retaliation has been quick; they've since won two games themselves and have now gone above Fleetwood as well as Morecambe.

Poor Morecambe took another hammering. Oldham beat them 7-2 on Saturday and that's taken their goals against column to 77 in 24 games and they now have a goal difference of minus 54.

On the subject of goals, no team has scored more than the 56 we've netted in the league this season; it's a total equalled by Wigan and we've got four more than the next highest Bury.

All the results from the last two weeks are below along with this week's fixtures, our goalscorers and the current league table.
