Vale, Blackpool and Shrewsbury win again

Joe Jackson - two goals against Accrington
Port Vale were amongst the goals again, hitting four more, this time against a Stockport side who have made a very poor start to the season and have now conceded eleven goals in their first two games.

Blackpool had a disappointing season last time round, but are already looking stronger this season. They followed up their opening day win against last season's runners up Rochdale by winning the derby against the reigning champions Preston.

Shrewsbury are the other side to have two wins. Having won 1-0 against Macclesfield last week they went to Tranmere and won by the same scoreline to join the other two at the top of the league.

Alongside Stockport at the bottom are Morecambe who also fell to a second defeat of the season, this time going down 4-1 to Rochdale who finally got their season up and running.

Burnley's 7-0 win was by far the biggest win of the season, and we'll hope to continue the good start when we play our second game this Friday against Blackpool, one of those teams with two wins.

Despite their struggles last season they managed to take four points from us. It was also Blackpool that brought out fantastic run of wins to an end in the 2008/09 season, and so we'll be looking for our first win against them since September 2008 when a Wes Fletcher goal gave us a 1-0 win.
