We reported earlier that Lee Grant, Kevin McDonald and David Edgar were set to feature and they are joined by three other members of the first team squad in full backs Richard Eckersley and Brian Easton and striker Jay Rodriguez.

Of the development squad, Alex-Ray Harvey is still ruled out with the injury he sustained two weeks ago at Padiham and central defender Chris Lynch is now on loan at Hyde. Nik Kudiersky continues his rehabilitation from knee surgery.

Chris Anderson, Wes Fletcher, Michael King and Kevin Long all start whilst Dominic Knowles is named as one of six substitutes, the rest of the bench being made up from the youth team.

For Oldham, Sean Gregan and Chris Taylor return after injury while four transfer listed players are named as they try to impress watching scouts, they are Kelvin Lomax, Jon Worthington, Joe Jacobson, and Rob Purdie.

They also include former Southend player Jean Francois Christophe who is on trial at Boundary Park.
