New signings Austin and Bartley in reserve team squad

Charlie Austin in reserve squad
This is our first reserve team fixture since Eddie Howe became manager, indeed much of the time was spent at the last reserve game at Wrexham in January taking messages and texts with speculation that the then Bournemouth man could be heading for Turf Moor.

He's named an experienced squad for the game. It includes Brian Easton along with both Richard Eckersley and David Edgar who, for different reasons, have both returned recently after being out on loan.

There is no place, however, for Wes Fletcher who has recently returned from a loan at Stockport nor Brian Jensen with Craig Mawson set to continue in goal.

Included are our two latest signings Charlie Austin and Marvin Bartley. Austin missed the win at Watford through illness but returned via the bench at Cardiff whilst Bartley has made just the one late substitute appearance at Watford. Neither were available for the cup game at West Ham.

Burnley will be looking to get back to winning ways after the defeat to Wrexham six weeks ago, the first defeat of the season.

The squad is: Craig Mawson, Richard Eckersley, David Edgar, Nik Kudiersky, Chris Lynch, Brian Easton, Chris Anderson, Marvin Bartley, Alex-Ray Harvey, Michael King, Charlie Austin, Dominic Knowles, Ross Wilson, Mehdi Lazaar, Neil Yadolahi, Dean Overson, Joe Jackson, Tommy Taylor, Steve Edwards.
