Burnley ready for youth draw

Our win was the highest away victory recorded in a third round that still has two games outstanding, although one side did net eight goals in a home tie.

The youth teams of five Premier League clubs have gone out and there are some genuine surprises for me in that list. Arsenal, winners three times in this Millennium, were beaten 1-0 at home by Derby County whilst two other winners in the last decade, Aston Villa and Liverpool, have also exited the competition at the first stage.

The last time we reached the fourth round of the competition was two years ago. Having won 4-1 at Scunthorpe we were soundly beaten by an impressive Manchester United 5-1 in January 2010.
