The Clarets recorded the biggest victory in the last round with an outstanding 6-1 win at Preston whilst, on the same day, Rotherham beat Accrington Stanley 4-1 to book their place in the second round.

Having been drawn against a club from the North East Conference it is always more difficult to determine just how tough a draw it is but a look at their league table shows Rotherham next to bottom with 10 points from 11 games.

With no league games ahead of this tie, it will be the next fixture for the youth team and the game will be played on Saturday 3rd December at Gawthorpe with kick off expected to be 11:00 a.m.

The full draw is

Lincoln v Notts County
Burton v Chesterfield
Burnley v Rotherham
Hull v Morecambe
Bradford City v Rochdale
Bury v Doncaster
Darlington or Hartlepool v Scunthorpe
Stockport v Tranmere
