Another switch at the top of the Alliance

Last updated : 10 February 2015 By Tony Scholes

They took advantage of Wigan's game against Preston being called off to go one point clear with both teams now having played the same number of games.

Tranmere remain in third place but are now some way behind and have played a game more. They missed the opportunity to keep the top two under pressure when they suffered a heavy 4-0 home defeat against Oldham.

Rochdale and Walsall are next. Both saw their games called off but if they were to win their two games in hand they would be right up alongside the two at the top of the league.

We'd no game last Saturday but drew 2-2 with Port Vale on Monday at Carrington. Our first goal was scored by Christian Hill (pictured above) and not Khius Metz as initially given out by the club with Andy Nugent now confirmed as having scored the second.

In the other games played on Saturday, Accrington won at Fleetwood whilst the game between Carlisle and Blackpool ended in a 1-1 draw.

It's Tranmere for us this Saturday. No venue has, as yet, been confirmed but it is likely to be at Carrington.
