George Bray - in the final group of players to be added
The final group has seen the final 64 players added from such as Jack Breedon and George Foxcroft who played in the first post-war FA Cup. There's such as Reg Attwell, Alan Brown and great Clarets stalwart George Bray, the half back line from the immediate post war team that won promotion and started Burnley's long run of 24 years in the First Division.

Alan Brown is also a former Burnley manager and two more former managers are in this final list, they are Joe Brown who played for the Clarets in the early 50s, and of course Harry Potts who was the scheming inside forward from that promotion team.

It takes the list from Foxcroft, the goalkeeper in that first FA Cup tie in 1946 at Stoke, through to Graham Coughlan and Paul McVeigh, the last two players to make Burnley debuts in March of this year.

All of the pages give basic details of the player, plus his appearances and goals in competitive games. Some already include profiles and there will be more to come as the section expands. The stats will be updated match by match, and profiles will be updated to keep them up to date, providing a comprehensive online directory of post war Clarets.
