I was reading the latest copy of the football magazine, “When Saturday Comes”, usually a very good read when I noticed a special mention for some Clarets.

The magazine has nominated its top five independent football sites and lo and behold there is a Clarets site in there, the London Clarets site.
Are we jealous – too bloody true we are? In fact, not at all, we are thrilled to bits to see the site in there and make no mistake about it deservedly so. Bob Lord's Sausage describes the site as the best football writing on the net and I'm not going to disagree with that.
The quality of writing on that site is without doubt second to none and a great credit to those responsible and to the London Clarets organisation. It is brilliant to see a web site by Clarets fans for Clarets fans recognised by a national magazine.
The editor of the site has been quick to pass on the congratulations to the other contributors and I can appreciate just why he wishes to do that, I have an equally good backing here at Clarets Mad from Andy, Dave, Peter and Patrick. I certainly wouldn't wish to be without any of them.
However I would like to pass on my praise to the one person responsible for putting all this together. Alright he is a friend but I can assure you there has been no payment for this. My congratulations of course go to the London Clarets (and that reminds me I really must renew my membership) but in particular they go to the editor Andrew Firmin.
Better known as Firmo he without any doubt at all leads the way with the quality of writing and as editor puts the whole site together. It is a real massive credit to him and he should be very proud of this recognition.
Well done London Clarets and in particular well done Firmo from Clarets Mad.
