Wallace at Wednesday

The 30-year-old Wallace has had a difficult two years. He started the 2013/14 promotion season in the first team but lost his place due to an injury that required surgery and kept him out of the reckoning for months.

On his return to fitness the team were doing well and he couldn't win his place back, but he did make some important appearances as a substitute. He got in the cross for the equaliser at Bournemouth in his second game back and no one will forget his contribution at Ewood Park when we came from behind to win 2-1.

In total, he made 149 league appearances for the club, scoring 12 goals. Four of them came in successive games in the 2011/12 season and his last Burnley goal was the stoppage time free kick at Leicester last season to earn us a 2-2 draw.

He's been linked with Wednesday for a number of weeks and today completed the move to Hillsborough on a one year contract.

Wallace said: "I needed a fresh start after leaving Burnley last season and I'm looking forward to getting back playing again. I can't wait to get started with the new coach.

"The main thing is this club has big ambitions to get to the Premier League and I want to help achieve that. I think I've got a lot to give. Wednesday showed an interest and hopefully I can help get things going at this club.
