Paul Weller - has to wait for new manager
Paul Weller, David May, Mark McGregor and Dean West are all out of contract at the end of June and the club have said today that negotiations are planned to take place with them once a new manager is in place.

Nathan Abbey and Lenny Johnrose will both be leaving the club. The two players, recently said to be earning no more than a couple of bob by Stan, were on monthly contracts and they expired at the end of the season.

There is good news for some of the younger players. Both Matt O’Neill and Joel Pilkington have been offered one year extensions whilst Paul Scott has been offered a one year deal, his first professional contract.

The only other player to complete his third scholarship year is Rhys Carpenter and as yet there is no news of his future. Two second year scholars, Gary Carter and Danny Pitham, have been released.

The new manager will have a massive task building a squad for next season. Only eight players now remain under contract – Brian Jensen, Lee Roche, Mo Camara, Graham Branch, Robbie Blake, Ian Moore, Tony Grant and Richard Chaplow.
