The Welsh are doing superbly well in their qualifying campaign to date and there are real hopes they can get through to a major tournament for the first time since they played in the 1958 World Cup Finals in Sweden.

They are currently top of Group B with 14 points from six games and good results in these two games could see them very close to making the finals.

They play Cyprus in Nicosia on Thursday 3rd September before facing Israel in Cardiff three days later.

The Welsh squad is:

Goalkeepers: WAYNE HENNESSEY (CRYSTAL PALACE), DANNY WARD (LIVERPOOL, on loan to ABERDEEN), OWAIN FON WILLIAMS (TRANMERE)

Defenders: ASHLEY WILLIAMS (SWANSEA), JAMES CHESTER (HULL), JAMES COLLINS (WEST HAM), BEN DAVIES (TOTTENHAM), CHRIS GUNTER (READING), NEIL TAYLOR (SWANSEA), ADAM HENLEY (BLACKBURN), ASHLEY RICHARDS (FULHAM)
