Fixtures against Accrington, Fleetwood and Bradford City were confirmed last week along with trips to Évian-les-Bains in France and Glasgow with fixtures still to be confirmed.

The first of those fixtures will be across the border from France into Geneva in Switzerland with the Clarets to play Swiss club Étoile Carouge who play in 1. Liga Promotion which is the third league in Swiss football.

The game will be played at Carouge's 7,200 capacity Stade de la Fontenette (pictured above) on Friday 10th July with a kick off time of 7 p.m. The stadium is no more than 3 kilometres from the city centre of Geneva.

It is expected for those Clarets on the trip there will be a pint with director, and former co-chairman, John B before the game.

There are 16 clubs in 1. Liga Promotion which sits behind the two top divisions, the Raiffeisen Super League and the Challenge League, both of which have ten clubs.

Carouge were in the Challenge League as recently as 2012 but lost their place during a restructure in 2012 which saw six of the ten clubs relegated.

They've also played in the top flight Raiffeisen Super League on four separate occasions. All have been for just one season with the most recent of them in 1997/98 at a time when Chris Waddle's Burnley were fighting successfully against relegation.

They ended last season in seventh place in the table with 43 points from their 30 games.
