Dummigan started all of the games. He played the full ninety minutes in the first two and was substituted as late as the 89th minute of their last game played this afternoon.
They were drawn to play against Belgium, France and Iceland with the group games having been played over the last few days in Belgium and it was the hosts they met first last Thursday, going down to a 2-0 defeat in the Mijnstadion, Beringen.
That was followed by a creditable 1-1 draw against France at the same venue with Sheffield Wednesday's Simon Hanna scoring a thoroughly deserved equaliser two minutes from time after what was described as a fantastic performance against illustrious opponents.
This afternoon a win against Iceland in Tessenderlo would have taken them off the bottom of the group but they fell to a 1-0 defeat with Dummigan replaced by Jordan Stewart (Glentoran) with just one minute of the game to go.
Reports from Northern Ireland suggest Dummigan has played very well in all three games in this step up in international level having previously played for the under-17s during last season as they turned in outstanding performances to draw against both Holland and Italy.
His one previous appearance for the under-19s came in May when he came on as a substitute in a friendly against Wales. He was very soon in need of emergency medical treatment on the pitch as his game was cut short following a two footed challenge Keston Davies that saw the Swansea player receive a straight red card.
