Day by day the injuries seem to be clearing up at the Turf with Alan Moore this week making a return in the reserves.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him make the bench tomorrow, he looked fit and there has apparently been no reaction. Not only that he didn't look to have lost any of the form he was showing before he got the injury at Norwich.
Branchy got through another ninety minutes as well and having made the bench on Tuesday he will almost certainly be in the squad for Coventry.
Steve Davis has now missed three games and although it is suggested that he could be in with a chance of a return tomorrow our sources suggest he is definitely out again and they are working on getting him fit for the televised game against Grimsby next Friday. Stan has already said the injury is not serious but it is just taking a little bit longer to clear up than was first thought.
I think the likely line up will be the same side that has now started the last three games namely, Nik Michopoulos, Dean West, Ian Cox, Arthur Gnohere, Lee Briscoe, Glen Little, Paul Weller, Tony Grant, Paul Cook, Ian Moore, Gareth Taylor. The five subs on duty on Tuesday were Luigi Cennamo, Kevin Ball, Lenny Johnrose, Andy Payton and Graham Branch. They are likely to be joined by Alan Moore and possibly Dimitri Papadopoulos for the five places.
Coventry meanwhile have some problems particularly in midfield where they have not one, not two but three players out suspended. Yossef Safri, David Thompson and Lee Carsley are all serving one match bans. Carsley's absence will at least remove the ‘You'll always be a B******' chant.
Gary Breen is back from international duty with the Republic of Ireland and although manager Roland Nillson believes he will be tired has confirmed that he will play. Nillson said, “He will be alright for the game, but on Sunday he will be absolutely shattered – he can be shattered on Sunday I don't mind that.”
Other than that there are no clues as to what the Coventry side will be with the three changes required in midfield from the last game at Millwall.
