Luke Chadwick - he and Michael Stewart could soon be Clarets
It was none other than Burnley boss Stan Ternent but let us immediately dismiss any rumours that he has quite Turf Moor for a coaching role with the Reds.

He was in discussions with Alex Ferguson for some time before leaving and that immediately prompted further speculation that we could after all be taking some players on loan from Manchester United.

Names such as Michael Stewart, Darren Fletcher, Luke Steele and Danny Pugh have been mentioned but last week there was news that in fact Luke Chadwick could well be one of the players who could be Turf Moor bound.

In fact we here at Clarets Mad now believe that it is Chadwick and Stewart who Stan is keenest to bring to the Turf and we would not be at all surprised to hear news of them arriving very soon.

Both players were in the Manchester United side that knocked the Clarets out of the Worthington Cup last season and both played well. Chadwick moved to Reading on loan and for a short time was a team mate of Glen Little at the Madejski Stadium.

There has been no confirmation, in fact no news at all from Turf Moor, but there could be news very soon that Chadwick and Stewart (also known to be interesting Sunderland) are Burnley bound.
