Sordell leaves Burnley

Sordell, who made just 21 appearances for the club, scoring one goal in the cup defeat at Spurs last season, is now free to find another club.

Burnley have thanked him for his efforts and wish him well in the future.

There's no doubt that things didn't work out for him after he left Bolton in the summer of 2014 as just four starts confirmed, but he's now got an opportunity to resurrect his career with Huddersfield believed to be interested.

Current Huddersfield boss Chris Powell took Sordell to Charlton on loan for the 2013/14 season.

Sordell becomes the third player to leave us this week following Jelle Vossen and Luke O'Neill.
