Plymouth going cool on Gifton

Today Plymouth Argyle have said that it is unlikely that the striker would be playing for them next season although Pulis would not dismiss the current rumours. Indeed Pulis spoke at length about him saying: “Gifton Noel-Williams has been very unfortunate in his career.

“He has got an arthritic complaint, which is under control at the moment, but without that, he is a player who could be playing in the Premiership. He has got everything in his locker to be a top forward.

“Gifton did exceptionally well for me at Stoke, him and Ade Akinbiyi were both free transfers and did very well for us.”

Brighton still remain interested although suggestions that Millwall could be interested seem to be based on the fact that David Tuttle wanted to take him on loan for the last few weeks of the season.

He's still under contract for another year at Burnley, but is expected to move on before the players return for pre-season training.
