Martin Paterson - had surgery to repair a tweaked cartilage
Jensen, who could miss his first league game on Saturday since the opening day of last season, has suffered no more than a dead leg and that run of games in the league side might still remain intact with manager Owen Coyle remaining hopeful that he could play at Spurs.

Coyle had already admitted that, should Jensen have suffered a long term injury, he would have looked to bring in a free agent goalkeeper or apply for an emergency loan.

But whilst the news on the Beast is good, the news on Paterson is not quite so good, although not as bad as I feared when I saw him being taken off the field at Oakwell. You always fear the worst when players go down like that with knee injuries.

The scan showed he had tweaked a cartilage and was having that operated on last night after which it will be clearer as to how long he'll be out of the side. Should there be no further damage it shouldn't be long before he is available again.
