The Irish have a Euro 2012 qualifier against the Faroe Islands on Wednesday 10th August and Pato has been given a recall by manager Nigel Worthington. It will, however, rule him out of Burnley's Carling Cup tie against Burton Albion which is scheduled for the night before.
If he features it will be his first international in exactly a year. On 11th August last year he played in a qualifier against Montenegro in Podgorica, his 12th cap for his country.
