New clubs for Brownhill and Evans

Kyle Brownhill has signed for AFC Telford

Brownhill joined Hyde whilst Evans signed for Southport, but there's been news this week that both have again moved on.

Burnley signed Brownhill, brother of Preston's Josh Brownhill, from Stockport and after his season at Turf Moor he moved to Hyde who had just been relegated from the Conference. It was another difficult season for them, ending in another relegation, but Brownhill enjoyed a three month loan at AFC Telford, who themselves have now been relegated from the Conference under manager Liam Watson.

New Telford boss Steve Kittrick was keen to sign him and has done just that as soon as he became available. He said: "He wants to come here and he wants to help Telford get back in the Conference Premier (now National League). He's a good player, he's a good lad and he'll buy into what we're doing, so I'm delighted."

Evans had been released by Blackburn when he arrived at Burnley, moving on to Southport after his release. He left them at the end of last season and yesterday signed on the dotted line for Stockport.

Neil Young, who is now manager of the club who once thought of us as their rivals, said: "He's a quick, dynamic winger and he's someone I've had my eye on for quite a long time.

"He's hungry, he's keen to do well and he fits the profile of player we want. He can play on  either side and I'm very glad to have got this deal done."

Brownhill and Evans will both be playing next season in the newly named National North.
