Moss is tonight's referee at Forest

He didn't have the best of games at Middlesbrough and certainly allowed some very soft free kicks with the likes of Leroy Lita, amongst others, seemingly unable to keep his feet on the ground for very long.

Moss became a Football League referee in the 2005/06 season and this season has, for the first time, refereed at Premier League level. Twice in January he was given games there; Blackpool v Birmingham and then Wigan v Aston Villa.

Since then he's been back at Football League level with only three of twelve games in the Championship, the last coming in March at Crystal Palace.

Tonight will be his fifth Burnley game. Apart from Middlesbrough he had a poor game last season at Hartlepool, a game that saw Richard Eckersley sent off. His Turf Moor appearances, against Blackpool in 2008 and the Burton cup tie saw him have much better games.

This season, in 36 games, he's given out 74 yellow cards and 6 red cards. Of those yellow cards, 33 have gone to home team players and 41 to away team players. Four of his red cards have come in Championship games.

Last time out, Moss refereed the League game between Bristol Rovers and Exeter three days ago. Exeter won 2-0 and there were no cards in the game.

The assistant referees tonight are Nick Hobbis (Birmingham) and Daniel Meeson (Staffordshire). The fourth official is Oliver Yates (Staffordshire).
