Leighton James - one of 73 players added
Those added today are those who played for us during the wilderness years between 1985 and 1992 when we played our football in the old Fourth Division, and for each of them their last games with the Clarets came during that period.

There are some players in their with experience in the top flight with Burnley including Leighton James and Billy Rodaway whilst they also include some players who had very short careers in league football, including Neil Edwards who holds the record for the shortest Burnley league career of just five minutes.

The section now includes every player who has played in our first team since the summer of 1985 in at least one league or cup game, and more profiles have been added. You will see the names of the players in blue when their profiles have been added.

The next group of players to be added will cover the five years prior and take us back to the end of the 1979/80 season.
