Moore off to Leeds

It’s been apparent since that news broke on Sunday that Moore’s time at Burnley was coming to an end and earlier today there were suggestions that Kevin Blackwell was all set to make him his 27th signing of the season.

The deal has been agreed between the two clubs for a fee which Leeds say has not been released but Burnley have confirmed at £50,000. Given that Moore was all set to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season (and we would have had to pay him until the end of July) this represents good business by the Clarets.

Mooro will have a medical tomorrow at Leeds’ Thorp Arch training centre and if there are no problems will join them for the rest of this season and a further two years. He will battle alongside such as David Healy, Brian Deane and current loan players Rob Hulse and Marlon King for a place in the starting line up.

As well as the news that Neil Warnock was trying to add him to his wonderful collection of strikers in South Yorkshire it has also been revealed that Mick McCarthy was keen to take him to league leaders Sunderland.

Mooro though has opted for Leeds and a reuniting with their assistant manager Sam Ellis.
