Moore joins Pools

He'd been at Elland Road for just over two years and on signing for them he was described by then manager Kevin Blackwell as a fifteen goals a season striker. However, it didn't quite work out that way and Moore netted just twice in 59 league appearances.

Back in the autumn of 2000, Moore was Burnley's first ever million pound signing when we brought him from Stockport, but the fee was just £50,000 when he moved to Leeds although had they been promoted there would have been another £50,000 to follow.

He's had options over the summer, and it looked as though he was all set to sign for Chester City a couple of weeks ago. Last week he was in talks with Carlisle but today the thirty year old striker is completing a move to Hartlepool.

He will be Danny Wilson's sixth signing of the summer following Pools' promotion from League Two.
