Metz, who is 17 and has just completed his first season as a scholar at Turf Moor, made his under-18 debut for the Republic of Ireland last December against Portugal. They played two games against the Portuguese; he came on as a substitute in the first of them and then started the second.
It's two games in Luxembourg now. The first will be played next Tuesday, 2nd June, with the second coming two days later.
