McCann returns to action

Burnley have not named their team as yet but manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that Chris McCann will start the game.

Chris has virtually seen his career wiped out since September 2009 when an injury in the home win against Sunderland saw him sidelined with a knee injury.

He attempted a comeback in January which saw him play the FA Cup tie at Reading and a few minutes of the Premier League game at Bolton. He then featured in a reserve game towards the end of the season.

When problems started again in pre-season he had a full re-construction of his knee and he returned to full training recently after another scare when he had fluid drained from his head.

Now Chris McCann is ready for action again and that's as good a news we've had coming out of Turf Moor for some time. He's been missed, very badly missed.

Welcome back Chris.
