Marney has started all but seven of our league games this season and this year, since Stuart Gray and then Eddie Howe have been in charge, he's started every game apart from when injury ruled him out against Queens Park Rangers.

HIs previous two goals for the club have both come in away games. He got the first in the 3-3 draw against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane back in October and last month netted the winner at Portsmouth with an overhead kick.

On Saturday he opened the scoring with a well struck shot right into the bottom left hand corner of the net and his overall performance has seen him win a place in the team.

He's joined by players from eight other clubs with Hull and Leicester each having two players in the nominated side.

This week's team is: David James (Bristol City), Kyle Naughton (Leicester), Darren Purse (Millwall), Damien Delaney (Ipswich), Dean Moxey (Crystal Palace), Wayne Routledge (QPR), Dean Marney (Burnley), Andy King (Leicester), Craig Bellamy (Cardiff), Aaron McLean (Hull), Matt Fryatt (Hull).
