The game was scheduled as a warm up for their forthcoming European qualifier against Romania at Windsor Park a week on Saturday and Lafferty played the full game, just short of three years since he made his international debut.

Northern Ireland took the lead through Brentford's Stuart Dallas in the first minute of the second half but Qatar came back to equalise with a Karim Boudiaf goal twenty minutes from the end. The game finished 1-1.

None of former Clarets Chris Baird, Kyle Lafferty or Martin Paterson were involved.

The INTERNATIONALS feature has been updated to include Lafferty's latest appearance.
