Lafferty has been included for a friendly next Wednesday against Cyprus to be played in Nicosea and he'll be joined by two former Burnley players Kyle Lafferty, who has been out of favour with O'Neill recently, and Martin Paterson.

Danny made his international bow in June 2012 in a crushing 6-0 defeat against Holland in a friendly at the Amsterdam Arena. He's gone on to play another seven times for his country with five of those in their World Cup qualifying campaign.

He's impressed very much in his last couple of appearances and will be hoping to be part of their Euro qualifiers; they were last Sunday drawn in a group with Greece, Hungary, Romania, Finland and the Faroe Islands.

The 22-man squad for the friendly is: Roy Carroll (Olympiacos), Alan Mannus (St. Johnstone), Michael McGovern (Falkirk), Gareth McAuley (West Brom), Danny Lafferty (Burnley), Rory McArdle (Bradford City), Ryan McGivern (Hibs), Craig Cathcart (Blackpool), Alex Bruce (Hull), Steven Davis (Southampton), Oliver Norwood (Huddersfield), Shane Ferguson (Newcastle, on loan at Birmingham), Chris Brunt (West Brom), Sammy Clingan (Kilmarnock), Pat McCourt (Barnsley), Ben Reeves (MK Franchise), Billy McKay (Inverness CT), Martin Paterson (Huddersfield), Jamie Ward (Derby), Niall McGinn (Aberdeen), Dean Shiels (Aberdeen), Kyle Lafferty (Palermo).
