Kiraly back in England with Fulham

He has joined them on a one year deal from TSV Munich where he has been since leaving the Clarets five years ago., and Fulham boss Felix Magath said: "He will be an important addition to our squad for this current season and he will also be able to assist  our two young goalkeepers with their continued development and progression in our first team."

Kiraly joined Burnley in the summer of 2007 and was our first choice goalkeeper during the first half of that season. Things changed after Christmas although he did eventually play in 27 of our 46 league games during that first season.

New manager Owen Coyle signed Diego Penny in 2008 and that left Kiraly faced with acting as substitute goalkeeper for the reserves until he was allowed to go out on loan to Bayer Leverkusen for the second half of the season.

On his return he was released and has been with TSV ever since., during which time he returned to the Hungary squad and reached 90 caps for his country.

This move to Fulham was suggested a couple of weeks ago but at the time he said he was happy to remain in Germany. However, today, the Championship strugglers have signed him as they look to get their season underway after starting with a series of defeats.
