Keane in Football League Team of the Week

Last updated : 01 September 2015 By Tony Scholes

It's all changed while we've had our season in the Premier League. No longer do they have a team of the week for each division, just one overall team.

The other Championship players in the team are Hull defender Curtis Davies and forwards Tomer Hemed from Brighton and Reading's Nick Blackman, both of whom scored twice.

The League reported: "Keane is a man very much in form and he was vital again as Burnley secured all three points with success at Bristol City. Having scored against Brentford and Birmingham City already this term, the Irishman climbed highest once more to score what proved to be the winner for Sean Dyche's Clarets."

Although English, and from Stockport, Keane does qualify for the Republic of Ireland and he did represent them on two occasions at under-17 level before opting for England for whom he's played with the under-19s, under-20s and under-21s.
