Just 3,000 tickets for Ewood

It was initially thought that Burnley would receive tickets for the entire Darwen End of the ground but news has been leaking out of Ewood Park over the past week or so that they were not happy giving Burnley that number of tickets when their fans would only receive 2,400 tickets for the return at Turf Moor later in the season.

The organising of these games appears to be causing people some problems. Only this week the reserve game between the two clubs was called off with some story that it was due to international calls with the clubs instead meeting in a game behind closed doors. The information we have received suggests it was called off for security reasons and when it is played in December there will be strict controls on who will be able to attend the game.

Now, we've had our numbers for Ewood reduced by some 50% and once again we will have to be taken in via bus and the purchase of a bus ticket will be compulsory alongside the match ticket.

Turf Moor safety office Alex Wood said: "We are happy with all the arrangements for Burnley supporters and are now arranging coach travel from Turf Moor. Full details of this will be announced in due course."

The game will be played on Sunday 18th October with a 1:00 p.m. kick off for live coverage on Sky. Ticket details are expected to be announced by mid-September.
