Jordan signs for Rochdale

It's been a rapid drop for Jordan who, two years ago, was playing Premier League football for the Clarets. As we were relegated he found himself out of contract and was released by manager Brian Laws.

He trained with Portsmouth in pre-season 2010 and looked odds on to sign for them, and his former Burnley manager Steve Cotterill, but such was the state of things at Fratton Park that he opted against it and instead signed a a one year deal with Sheffield United.

Manager Kevin Blackwell left soon after and with managers coming and going, coupled with an injury, he was farmed out on loan to Huddersfield by Micky Adams, and it was Adams who then terminated his contract before the end of the season.

He's trained with a number of clubs since, including Preston, but has had two spells training with Rochdale and has today signed non-contract forms with them.

He will know manager Steve Eyre well from their Manchester City days and will now be looking to earn himself a longer and more permanent deal at Spotland.
