Burnley fell to defeat last Saturday against Ipswich in another disappointing home performance and it was a game where the Clarets Mad Player of the Year points were shared.

The winners of the man of the match vote and the player ratings were Jay Rodriguez and Andre Bikey respectively whilst Wade Elliott, who came on as a 67th minute substitute, was second in both.

Jay scored Burnley's only goal of the game to give us some hope of picking up a point with just over 20 minutes to go. He's scored 6 of our last 8 goals and frankly there doesn't seem to be a sign of a goal coming from anywhere else.

It was another good strike for Jay and with it he won 23.4% of the man of the match vote. That was ahead of Wade Elliott in second place with 17.7% and Marvin Bartley, making his first home start, who was third with a 14.3% share of the vote.

It was another game of very low scores in the player ratings with only three players scoring above the 6 out of 10 for an average performance. Andre Bikey, in his first Turf Moor outing since the last game under Brian Laws, won it with a rating of 6.49 out of 10.

That was just ahead of Wade who had a 6.47 rating and Jay Rodriguez whose rating was 6.40 out of 10.

Both Jay and Wade win 4 points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year. Bikey gets three points and there is one point for Bartley. With Jack Cork and Chris Eagles so far clear in the top two places, it makes little difference to the table although Jay is now seven points clear in third place.

The next vote will be the man of the match vote for the Leicester game. That will start within an hour of the final whistle on Saturday.
