| A second monthly win for Danny Ings |
Keith Treacy helped Dean Marney to win the ball back for us. From there Marney played the ball to Ings who in turn moved it on to Vokes. The reverse pass from Vokes was exquisite and once Ings was in front of his defender there was only ever going to be one result, a 1-0 lead.
There were just four other candidates. Ings again for his goal against Reading, Vokes who got the second in the Reading win and Scott Arfield whose header won the game at Ipswich for us.
We all knew which would be the winner from the start of the vote and that goal against QPR polled an incredible 90.1% of the vote to win. It's the biggest return since Jay Rodriguez received 90.3% in February 2012 for his late equaliser in the snow against Peterborough.
This time, Ings took second place as well with 4.5%, Arfield was third with 3.2% and 2.3% of the vote saw Vokes finish fourth.
It's the second monthly winner or Ings this season. He captured 79.9% of the vote to win in August with his goal at Derby while in September it was Junior Stanislas, the goal that gave us the lead against Blackburn winning 75.3% of the vote.
Ings and Vokes already have entries for November but for now the vote for the man of the match in the Bournemouth game continues. Today is the last day of voting.
