Home kit is a hit

We've moved away from the traditional white shorts and socks for next season and will play in a virtually all claret kit at home, but that's not put you off and almost 87% of you gave it the thumbs up, the highest backing we've ever had for any kit since we started doing the polls three years ago.

We've returned to a yellow kit away from home for the first time since our first season back in this division, 2000/01, when we wore a plain yellow shirt once at Nottingham Forest in 2000 in a 5-0 defeat. The shirt never saw the light of day again, after just one game, and we reverted to blue.

Not as though last season's away kit was often used, it was worn for only one league game all season, the opening day fixture at Crewe. It was good to see us playing in our home colours as often as possible, a trend which hopefully will be continued.

You are not quite so keen on this kit, which is includes all yellow shorts and socks, and the only break from the yellow is the 2005/06 home shirt style bar across the front which is in claret. Under 46% of you have given it your approval. At least we won't be playing too many games where we do have to change.
