The 20-year-old Hendrie  joins us from Derby County where he's been for two years since leaving his first club Manchester United. where he earned himself caps for England at both under-16 and under-17 level.

He's joined on a one year contract with an option for a second year in the club's favour but Turf Moor is not new to the midfielder who sat on the bench for Bradford City last week for the Michael Duff testimonial.

On completing his move, he said: "I'm happy it's all done. It's been a strange couple of days but I'm happy to get started and hopefully I can have a good season.

"I was here last week on the bench for Bradford City while on trial so it was a bit surreal as nobody really knew. I got an early taste of the place and it's a really nice stadium and it's got the feel of a Premier League club.

"I was at the training ground today and the facilities are brilliant. That is improving further so it can only help my development.

"I was at Derby for two years and I feel it was a good time for me to go. This opportunity came up and it was hard to turn down. I can't wait to get going."
