Harley Street to give Cork all clear

Jack Cork
Cork returned to Chelsea for tests over a week ago after suffering palpitations in England's under-21 international against Iceland at Deepdale a week last Wednesday and that led to him missing our home game against Ipswich last Saturday.

He's undergone all the required tests at Chelsea and they are happy for him to return to Turf Moor, but that is subject to him coming through a final assessment in Harley Street and Jack is currently under 24-hour monitoring of his heart rate and will undergo some extensive tests today.

If he passes those tests then he should be back with us in time for the crucial game at the Crisp Bowl in two days time.

Meanwhile the speculation on his future continues. He's under contract to Chelsea until the end of the 2011/12 season but cold move on this summer. Burnley have the edge over other clubs with the player keen to make a permanent move to Turf Moor.
