Frank Sinclair - joining Wrexham
It was January 2008 when Gray left Burnley for Charlton but things haven't quite worked out as planned. They looked a good bet for a return to the Premier League when he moved to London but a season and a half later found themselves in League One.

He's now returned to the Championship with Barnsley and made his debut for them last Saturday in their 1-0 defeat at Leicester.

Meanwhile Frank Sinclair's search for a new club has ended after he opted for a season with Wrexham. He was released by Lincoln at the end of last season having spent the last couple of months on loan with Wycombe.

A move to Bury looked likely and he's trained with them through the pre-season. But he's decided to sign for Wrexham after spending a few days training there and will join another ex-Claret Gareth Taylor with the Welsh club.

Frank said: "I've signed as I believe this squad has the ability to win automatic promotion. I've trained a few times with Wrexham and I have seen there is good quality and good competition in the squad.

"I have no problems dropping down to non-league level. I have always been suited to playing at this level because I love heading it, defending and making tackles. One of the main attributes of this league is battling your way out and putting your body on the line. I've done that all my football career.

"I've slowly gone down the league levels as I get older, going down one division at a time. I helped Wycombe win promotion from League Two last season and now I want to play a major part in getting Wrexham back up into the Football League."
