Former striker in demand

Ipswich have lost striker Nicky Forster to injury and manager Long Ball Joe has said that he contacted Leeds with a view to taking Mooro for the rest of the season. It was turned down by Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell.

Moore hasn’t featured in the Leeds first team this season but returned from a shin splints injury to play alongside Robbie Blake in the reserves last week against Everton with Blake scoring the Leeds goal in a 1-1 draw.

Blake was also linked with a move away, but both have remained and Moore is still looking for his first goal for the Elland Road club. His last goal for Burnley was in February at Coventry whilst his last home league goal was as far back as last September in a 2-2 draw with Stoke on a day when Ade Akinbiyi grabbed both Stoke goals.

So for now he remains at Leeds, looking for an opportunity to get another chance in the first team where the two forward places are currently occupied by Rob Hulse and David Healy.
