Ex-Claret Cisak gets Socceroos call

The Polish born Cisak signed for us in June 2013 from Oldham but made just two first team appearances, coming on as a sub at Brighton when Tom Heaton was sent off and deputising for him in the next game, a Capital One Cup tie against Preston when Tom was suspended.

During last season he spent time on loan at York and Leyton Orient with the then Os boss expressing a wish to sign him permanently if the opportunity arose.

Despite a change of manager, Cisak had left an impression at Brisbane Road and new boss Ian Hendon didn't hesitate to sign him once he got the green light from Burnley.

He's gone straight into the Orient side and has kept two clean sheets as they've started the season with three successive victories.

His form has impressed Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou and he's one of five changes to the squad, which also includes goalkeeper Adam Federici, but Cisak is the only uncapped player.

Postecoglou said: "The players we have brought into the squad have all started their respective seasons with some good performances and will get an opportunity to impress while they are in good form and fitness."

A clearly delighted Cisak said via Twitter.

The games he's been called up for are against Bangladesh and Tajikistan next month. The first of them, against Bangladesh, is at home and will be played in Perth on 3rd September with the Tajikistan game to be played in Dushanbe five days later.
