Chris Eagles
I don't think anyone will be too surprised to see the name of Chris Eagles prominent. He scored our equaliser, he won the penalty for the second goal and turned in a very good performance full of enthusiasm, with the news coming shortly after the final whistle that he had agreed a new deal with the club.

It seems to be game after game this season when the man of the match has polled a big percentage of the vote, and this game was no exception with Eagles collecting no less than 79.2%. It left little for the remaining players with Jack Cork, in his first full game since returning to Turf Moor, coming second with 5.7% and Wade Elliott taking 3.8% of the vote to finish third.

Eagles was also the winner of the player ratings on the message board with a rating of 8.00 out of 10. This time there were two different players in the points positions behind him. Steven Thompson, who notched the penalty, was second with a rating of 7.08 and a rating of 7.00 out of 10 was enough to give the impressive Leon Cort third place.

The points allocated towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year with Eagles getting the maximum six points, with two each for Cork and Thompson and one each for Elliott and Cort.

Voting is currently in progress for the Swansea game until the end of Tuesday, after which will come the vote for the August Goal of the Month.
