Eagles & Mears set for Bolton

The report suggests that Burnley have accepted a £3 million offer from the Premier League club for the two players who were both signed for Burnley by current Bolton boss Owen Coyle.

Eagles has been with the Clarets for three years after signing in the summer of 2008 ahead of our promotion season whilst Tyrone Mears arrived a year later.

Both players have one year remaining on their contracts with the Clarets reportedly keen to get them both to extend their stays at Turf Moor.

There has been no indication that either of them are set to sign new deals and only last week, following the Bury game, manager Eddie Howe hinted at a possible exit for Eagles in his after match comments.

Eagles has featured in all three pre-season games to date whilst Mears missed the game at Bury. Both are currently with the squad down in the south west ahead of tomorrow's game against Torquay United.

But could it be that both Eagles and Mears are now set to leave Turf Moor and join the exodus to Horwich?
