Dyche and Gray nominated for October awards

Last updated : 05 November 2015 By Tony Scholes

Sean Dyche is one of four nominations for manager of the month alongside Paul Clement (Derby), Steve Bruce (Hull) and Brentford's Lee Carsley. It's going to be a tight one. Both Derby and Hull won 13 points, exactly the same as us whilst Brentford, under new boss Carsley, had just one point less.

Andre Gray returned from injury for our first game of the month at Rotherham and scored the opener in the 2-1 Friday night win in front of the television cameras. He went on to score another four goals during the month, two each against Bolton and Huddersfield, and is one of the four players up for the player of the month.

Alongside him are Sheffield Wednesday's Barry Bannan, whose, according to the league, infectious energy and ability to pick out incisive passes were instrumental in Wednesday's unbeaten month.

There's Alan Judge, Gray's former team mate at Brentford, who was the on-field inspiration behind Brentford's October fest and the fourth player is veteran Paul Robinson at Birmingham whose positioning and experience have been vital in solidifying their defence.

The winners of both will be announced tomorrow morning.
