We've been at other grounds over the years such as Wigan (when they had some Marti Pellow sing-a-like on the pitch who was booed off by the Burnley fans) and more recently those three hideous boogie woogie singers at Hillsborough.
But we've had more than our fair share of nonsense with floating balloons, Big Brother contestants, rap bands and the like. However, I didn't think anything would beat the ridiculous barking mad Swanky Pants Dog Troupe who turned up no fewer than three times before they were finally ushered out of the ground.
I thought those dressed up dogs (who on earth came up with that idea?) would win the poll hands down and in fairness they did take just short of a quarter of the vote, 24.5% of it to be exact.
That was nowhere near good enough though because the clear winner with 38.7% was the mind numbing X-Factor failure Chico. When I first heard he was appearing I thought they'd resurrected one of the Marx Brothers, but alas not.
Now finally the whole crazy idea has been shelved after the latest fiasco - so no it's not Chico time any more …….. and as for those damned dogs.
