Coyle keen on Solovjovs

The 20-year-old played an hour in Belfast on Monday and last night featured for most of the 2-1 win against Bradford City and Coyle admitted: "I like what I've seen, but what we have to remember is that Aleksandrs is contracted to his club back home (Olimps Riga), so first and foremost we must speak to them and be very respectful of that.

"We will find out what the situation is. Anyone who has seen those games has seen he's a young talent. He's got a few attributes in his locker and I think he will only get better. So we'll weigh everything up and speak to all the parties involved and see where that takes us."

Solovjovs received a standing ovation from the Burnley fans as he made his way to the dressing rooms following his substitution last night and Coyle said of him: "He's got pace and seems to have a very good awareness of the game, and I'm always looking for that.

"So we'll take stock but it would be totally remiss of me just now to say there's a hard and fast decision, but we do like what we've seen so we'll take it from there. I think the fans too have liked what they've seen, so we'll take that on board and see where to go."
