Andy Cooke is back in football and has joined his local club Market Drayton in what has been billed as their fight for survival.

What he is doing is signing for the manager who first brought him to Turf Moor from Newtown in 1995. That's Jimmy Mullen who recently took over as manager of the club for a second time. It's a part time caretaker role but Jimmy is beginning to turn things round with a win and two draws for a club still next to bottom of the Evo-Stik First Division South.
Back to Cooke. He's been appointed as the club's Director of Football. He'll work alongside Mullen with the first team but will also get involved with the reserves and on the commercial side of the club to help develop and promote the club.
Will he play? Market Drayton say he shouldn't be written off and with a bit of fine tuning on the fitness front he could be seen back on the field.
