Clarets still want Orr

Geordie boss Sir Bobby Robson is keen for the 21 year old Liverpool born midfielder to go out on loan to get some experience and sources in the North East suggest that the Clarets could be favourites ahead of Bradford City and Rotherham who are also keen to sign him.

Orr is a regular member of and the captain of the Magpies’ reserve team (the one that plays in the Premier Reserve League) and lead them out last night against Everton.

He is out of contract at St. James’ Park at the end of this season but is hoping to be offered a new deal and although he is still to make his first team debut he has featured in the first team squad on a number of occasions. The last time was on Boxing Day against Leicester at the Walkers Stadium.

He’s considered a hard working box-to-box midfielder, strong but not the quickest and there seems no doubt that he will be out on loan by the end of this week. It remains to be seen whether that will be at the Turf.
